My project today features new products from the Brutus Monroe and Therm O Web collaboration. If you have not checked out the entire new line of products from Therm O Web, I have a link here to see the full release, which includes Brutus Monroe AND Gina K Collaborations.

To begin my card, I created an A2 sized card base with some white cardstock. Then I trimmed down a panel sheet of the Kaleidoscope Toner Sheet designed by our very own Christopher Alan. I heated up my laminator for about 30 minutes to make sure it was good and hot. Then I foiled the toner sheet with Shattered Rainbow DecoFoil.

Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop - Color Crush 2

Hey there!! Welcome to my post fo the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop: Color Crush 2. This week the team gathers inspiration from a color palette Marie Heiderscheit gave us. If you have all the Surface Inks, they’d go in order like this: Boutique, Plum, Night Sky, Fountain, Sea and Speckled Egg.

I used Distress Inks for my project in Dusty Concord, Salty Ocean, and Cracked PIstachio. Ink blending allows you to form a gradient of color even when you only have a few of the inks on hand.

Good morning everyone. Thank you for hopping along with the Inspiration Team today. The blogs feature the Brutus Monroe Micro Pearls. And I have a very Spring-y card for you today that also showcases this month’s Stamp and Stencil of the Month. Let’s get started!

Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop - Anything B|M

Welcome to my post on the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop. This week the team features ANYTHING we want from Brutus Monroe and I reached for my Aqua Pigments. I cannot get enough of them. The Inspiration Box from January, called Lucky You, included several images of lucky charms. One of them, the double koi stamp, symbolizes the strength of a koi to travel agains the current. I chose this stamp along with blue color scheme of Turquoise, Blue Green and Blue to create this card.

I started by dropping the three analogous colors of Aqua Pigments on my glass mat. I wet the Aqua Pigment Paper with a large paint brush across the center of the card, leaving the top and bottom of the panel dry. Aqua Pigments love water and will swim through it, but stop at the edges of the water. Then I took another dry brush and dropped Turquoise on the left, Blue Green in the middle and Blue on the right. The colors mix a little in the water. For a little more mixing I added a splotch of each color to the others.

Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog Hop - ATC's

I just learned about Artist Trading Cards this month, actually. But I quickly came to enjoy making them. ATCs come in a wallet size 2.5 x 3.5 inch card for easy trading with other artists. I made a variety of them for this hop inspired by the Valentine theme for this season. I will give you step by step instructions for them here, with individual supplies lists. Let’s dive right in:

Brutus Monroe ATCs.jpg

FOR MY LOVE

The read ATC that with the “For My Love,” sentiment came from a background I did a while back for a Christmas card with huge berries made of Nuvo Drops. I kept the extra water pigment colored panel and trimmed it down to ATC size. Then i stamped it with B|M Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with Conversation Heart embossing powder and then with Gilded embossing powder. I used a little die from Concord and 9th to add embossed hearts in a row above the sentiment.

LOVE NOTE

For my second ATC, I used the January Stencil of the Month and the Glitter Glaze of the month: Flamingo to make a stenciled heart of hearts. Then I trimmed down the heart to ATC sized cards. I foiled one of the hand written note toner sheets with Copper DecoFoil and fussy cut it around the shape of the Glitter Glaze Heart. I adhered the foiled pieces to the bottoms of the ATCs to finish them off.

For the last one I am witing about today, I used the Chocoloate Box Sfamp of the Month. I stamped the image repeatedly wth Raven ink. Then I colored it in with Surface inks and an Aqua Pogment water brush. I added some details with a whige getl pen. I finished it off with the XO image heat embossed in the white spaces using Gilded Embossing Powder.
