Card #1 Fa La La La La… La La La La
For my first card, I heat embossed the Fa La La La La Bold Prints in Gold over some Cherry Cardstock. Then I added a vignette effect with Cranberry and Black Ink around the edge using a Hero Tools Blending Brush.
Next, I die cut some sprigs and pine cones from the DC304 Winter Foliage Stamp & Cut XL out of some Vellum and some Meadow Cardstock and added some Copic coloring to them. I adhered them all together with some liquid adhesive and popped them onto the front of my card with foam tape.
Finally, I fished out a sentiment strip I had already made from the Holiday Sentiment Strips and coordinating Fancy Die.
Card #2 Aurora Bearealis (hehehe)
I hope to some day see the Northern Lights for myself, in person. But for now the Aurora Bearealis will have to do! I colored in my bears with some Copic markers (BG000, BG01, BG53). The frame cuts for my polar bears didn’t make it, so I fussy cut them and lined them with a black marker around the edges to give them a finished look.
For the lights, I heat embossed them with Sparkling Sea Embossing Powder on Arctic Cardstock. Then, I masked them off and added Indigo and Black Inks underneath and over the top edge of the panel.
Then, I added some Unicorn White Ink over the embossing and wiped it toward the top of the panel.
After that, I created a simple black and white sentiment strip with “warm wishes” from the same Northern Lights Polar Bear stamp set.
I deckled the edge with the Tim Holtz Deckle Trimmer popped everything up on the front of a Dove White Cardbase.
