Hero Arts -- Alternative Succulent Coloring

Hey Artie! What’s up? I’m just sending along a picture of the alternative coloring of the Succulent bouquet we created on the last Del & Artie Live. It was great to hang out on Saturday night, but if you missed all the fun, you can catch the replay here.

I showed you how I colored using Copic markers without blending. This is a very simple method with complex results owed to the choice of colors. In this style, you will see all the lines and differences in the colors chosen. But hold it away from your eyes a bit and they blend anyway.

Supplies Used to Create this Card

  1. Succulent Bouquet Combo

  2. Dove White Cardstock

  3. Intensified Black Ink

  4. Copic Markers from Violeta Ink

  5. Dove White Side-folded Card

  6. Tim Holtz Guillotine Trimmer

  7. MISTI Stamping Tool

Steps to Create this Card

  1. Create a side-folding card by cutting a sheet of Dove cardstock in half and scoring it down the middle.

  2. Next, stamp the bouquet image on the front with Intens-ified Black Ink using a MISTI stamping too.

  3. Then, color in the image with muted Copic colors. (see the video for the details on color choice).

  4. Finish off the card with a sentiment stamped again with Intens-ified Black Ink.

I hope you enjoyed this little project. I love the simple coloring.
