Hey there Arties!! The latest release from Catherine Pooler — Winter Wonders — releases November 9 at noon eastern for StampNation members and November 10 at 9AM for everyone! This one takes us to the wintry world of snowy layered tree lines and fun holiday sentiment.
Today, I am CASE-ing a card from my friend Michelle Lupton! From October to December, Michelle will link to a series of guest cardmakers on her blog. She will CASE one of their cards, and they will CASE one of hers! CASE stands for either Copy And Share Everything, or Copy And Selectively Edit. It's about getting inspiration from cardmaking friends, but making a new card that is our own. And, of course, the card we each make has to be a Christmas card!
Here’s the gorgeous card Michelle created and below is my CASEd version!
Card #1 — All My Love Faux Dye Dipped Card
Steps to Create the All My Love Card Faux Dye Dipped Card
To Begin, I wet a piece of watercolor cardstock with water and added a coat of In the Park” Ink with a wide watercolor brush and dried it with my heat tool.
Then, I added a layer of Mardi Gras mixed with In the Park, dried it and added another layer a bit darker than the last. Each time, I completely dried the paper before adding another layer. And each time I added a darker mix of ink to my brush, until I got to black.
Next, I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5.25” and used a Tim Holtz Deckle Trimmer to add a torn look to the bottom edge.
After that, I stamped the trees from the Evergreen Woods Stamp Set and the sentiment from the Winter Blessings stamp set in Versamark Ink and melted Opaque White Embossing Powder over it.
Then, I popped it up on a White Cardstock card front with foam tape.
To finish it off, I added three clear sequins with Bearly Art Glue.
