Hero Arts October 2020 My Monthly Hero Sneak Peak

October 2, 2020 Daniel West
Countdown to Creativity Hero Arts.jpg

Hey there Artie! It’s Del! Today we’re joining Hero Arts’ Countdown to Creativity, showing off some peeks at the October 2020 My Monthly Hero Card Kit. You will see a ton of Nordic Holiday images in the next few days. I have been waiting for a kit like this since I started stamping!!!

Release day will be Monday, October 5 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. In the meantime, we'll be right here, sharing heaps of inspiration before the launch. Tomorrow at 12PM Eastern, I will be hosting a live show for this kit on the Hero Arts Facebook page, as well. So don’t miss it!

We're also giving a kit away! Before we get to that, let's see what our amazing Creative Team has been busy making with the October kit. We encourage you to visit each of their blogs (linked below), where they are sharing even more details.

This month’s main stamp set includes a large modern ornament and tons of small Nordic images with holiday greetings! I chose to create a whole series of cards with the same color palette inspired by a winter sweater — ivory, gray and red!

Step-by-step Instructions

To begin, I stamped out the ornament, border, rune and flower images onto the front of an ivory card base with Charcoal ink.

Next, I stamped Ho! Ho! Ho! in Red Royal Ink.

Then, I die cut and stamped a ton of the images in the kit and pick out the Santa sleigh, gift, partridge and bell images and popped them up on the front of the card with foam tape!

This is a clean and simple design and gives me all the fuzzies of a cashmere Christmas sweater!

I hope you enjoyed this little peek at October’s My Monthly Hero Card Kit! There is so much more to see, so keep your eyes peeled for more this weekend. Below you will find a grid of supplies I used. I appreciate you using my affiliate links when you shop. It let’s all the companies I design for know that I sent you their way!
