Hero Arts Unity

Hey there Arties! Hero Arts is at it again with collaboration. They worked with Dana Joy and Pocono Pam to create some really great images and sentiments to celebrate unity, healing and intentionality. This 6 x 8 stamp set, called United We Stand, comes at a time when understanding and conversation could use some cultivation.

FROM THE BACK OF THE PACKAGING:

Dana Joy, Pocono Pam and Hero Arts are excited to partner in a conscious effort to be intentionally diverse and inclusive. Crafters and cardmakers of color need to feel support, appreciation, and respect when expressing their values, experiences and skin tone in their work. We are celebrating this spirit through unity, and this collaboration is a pathway for everyone to see themselves in their art. We hope the United As One stamp set will encourage makers to become interested and committed to listening and learning from and about each other, and recognize we are all one, united creative community. 100% of net profits from this 6″ x 8″ stamp set will go to Racial Justice charities.

Together We can Make a Difference

This stamp set and especially this sentiment, fills me with hope about our future as a people. As along as we can consider each other worthy of walking alongside, we can work out everything else. Standing with each other and intentionally seeking the good of each other is the way forward.

I created this card in much the same way I created the card in my video. I stamped out the two different skin tones using Soft Vanilla and Cup O’ Joe inks. I just added extra of each for the detail sections. I stamped the outline first. Then, I stamped the layers near the center of the Antique Ivory panel. Next, I stamped the large heart image in Just Rust Ink.

To finish off the card, I embossed the sentiment in Gold Embossing Powder from Hero Arts on some Chestnut Cardstock, but I darkened it up a bit with Cup O’ Joe Ink, direct-to-paper. I popped up the sentiment strip on some foam tape, and the panel onto the front of an Antique Linen card base with some orange fun foam.

I hope you enjoy this collaboration and this project. If you have been inspired to shop for these supplies, I have a list of supplies in the box below for your convenience. They may contain affiliate links that help support this blog at no additional cost to you!
