Hey there Artie! Glad you could stop by for a little fun with a Pretty Mean Card. The Love You More - Heart Dance stamp set can be very sweet!! But what if you want to be playfully mean? Since I'm a fairly ornery person, I like to use my stamps in fun and unexpected ways. Today, these two dancers suareed too close to the edge of love.
If you have seen the movie, Mr & Mrs Smith, you know that spy couples can have some outrageously funny and heart thumping love affairs. This couple of spies, Jim and Alice, may be in love, but they have also blown their cover and find themselves in a dance to the death.
I have one more card, a prequel to this one, that helps explain the fierce look in Jim’s eyes. Yes, he wants to throw Alice off the cliff, but only to save his own life. Just ten minutes earlier, she had him at gun point.
Hahaha… such fun!
To modify the stamps, I just inked them up and with a finger, wiped off the parts of the face I wanted to change. I ended up giving Jim an angry look and Alice the shock of her life!
With a fine line drawing pen, I added the cliff and grass. I colored it all in with Copic markers, event he dirt falling off the edge of the cliff.
Jim and Alice eventually come out of this unscathed and attend couple’s therapy. We are all rooting for their continued success at marriage and international intrique.
