Hero Arts January 2022 My Monthly Hero Countdown to Creativity

Hey there Artie! It’s Del! Today we’re joining Hero Arts’ Countdown to Creativity, showing off some peeks at the January 2022 My Monthly Hero Card Kit.

The January 2022 My Monthly Hero kit takes us to Paris, just outside the Louvre, to the Pont des Arts, where lovers sign padlocks, lock them to the chainlink, and throw away the key.

I hope you have enjoyed the countdown so far and you are ready to shop when this kit and add-ons go live on Monday, January 10, at 1PM Eastern.

Throughout my post, I will use affiliate links in the photos and hyperlinks. These links let the websites know I sent you their way. For this referral, I receive a percentage of your total purchase price at no additional cost to you. I appreciate your support of my creative efforts.

Supplies:

  1. My Monthly Hero Card Kit - January 2022 (link takes you to the Hero website.)

  3. Lime Green Ink

  4. Fresh Lawn Ink

  5. Soft Granite Ink

  6. Soft Sky Ink

  7. Wet Cement Ink

  8. Cup O Joe Ink

  9. Pitch Black Cardstock

  10. Blending Brush

  11. Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool

  12. Dove White Cardstock

  13. Silver Hot Foil

  14. Foiling Machine

  16. MISTI Stamping Tool

  17. Precision Glue

  18. Heat Tool

  19. Foam Tape (the old 3M formula you can tear available here)

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. First, I heated the plate up in my hot foiling machine and when it was hot, I added the foil to the front and ran it through my die cutting machine with the coverplate die from the kit.

  2. Next, I ran the die cut with the coverplate die again through the machine.

  3. After that, I stamped out the tree and and foliage layering stamps — the branch with two different generations of Cup O’ Joe Ink, the leaves with Lime Green and Field Green Inks.

  4. Then, I added some Sky Blue Ink to the front of an A2-sized panel with a blending brush after masking off a horizon.

  5. Next, I moved the horizon mask up and added some Field Green Ink to the field under the sky.

  6. After that, I stamped the rocks and grass on the field with Soft Granite and Field Green inks.

  7. Then, I stamped the sentiment onto some Pitch Black Cardstock with Embossing and Watermark Clear Ink and melted White Embossing Powder over it with a heat tool and fussy cut it out.

  8. Finally, I layered it all together with Precision Glue over an A2-sized card base.
