Hero Arts December 2021 My Monthly Hero Countdown to Creativity

Hey there Artie! It’s Del! Today we’re joining Hero Arts’ Countdown to Creativity, showing off some peeks at the December 2021 My Monthly Hero Card Kit.

The December My Monthly Hero kit is a reminder that no matter where we live, near or far, in cities or in neighborhoods - through it all we're here for each other.

I hope you have enjoyed the countdown so far and you are ready to shop when this kit and add-ons go live on Monday, December 6, at 1PM Eastern.

Throughout my post, I will use affiliate links in the photos and hyperlinks. These links let the websites know I sent you their way. For this referral, I receive a percentage of your total purchase price at no additional cost to you. I appreciate your support of my creative efforts.

Supplies:

  1. My Monthly Hero Card Kit - December 2021 (link takes you to the Hero website.)

  2. Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder

  3. Embossing & Watermark Clear Ink

  4. Pitch Black Cardstock

  5. Copic Markers

  6. Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool

  7. Dove White Cardstock

  8. MISTI Stamping Tool

  9. Gemini Junior

  10. Precision Glue

  11. Heat Tool

  12. Foam Tape (the old 3M formula you can tear available here)

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. First, I die cut the coverplate die from the kit out of Dove White Cardstock.

  2. Next, I cut out the pieces I wanted to keep.

  3. Then, I colored it in with Copic markers.

  4. After that, I treated a panel of Dove White cardstock with antistatic powder and stamped it with the red rubber cling background stamp from the kit using Clear ink.

  5. Next, I melted some Ultra Fine Clear Embossing powder over the image with a heat tool.

  6. Then, I adhered the die cut over the front of the heat embossed panel with Precision Glue.

  7. After that, I created a sentiment block out of Pitch Black cardstock with a sentiment stamp from the kit and some White Embossing Powder.

  8. Next, I popped up the sentiment on the front of the panel with some foam tape.

  9. Finally, I adhered the panel to the front of a card base with Precision Glue.

I hope you enjoyed this little peek at December’s My Monthly Hero Card Kit! There is so much more to see, so keep your eyes peeled for more this weekend.
