Hero Arts - November 2021 My Monthly Hero Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Hey there Arties!! I’m happy you have stopped by for the release day blog hop and video for the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero November 2021!

November is here and the holiday season is upon us! With our November My Monthly Hero kit, we have everything you need to create adorable handmade tags and/or gift toppers for all of your Christmas gift-giving. The dies in this kit are equally great for cards, scrapbook pages and even felt ornaments! We've included a stamp set with patterns to decorate the tag pieces, and plenty of holiday-themed messages, too. To round out the kit, we've included cardstock and glitter paper for die cutting your characters. White Puff Embossing Powder is fun for adding some dimensional texture, and our Lacquer Pen adds dimensional shine. And last but not least, there's festive red & white twine for embellishing, or attaching your tags to gifts.

Project #1 — A Snowman Card

Supplies:

  1. My Monthly Hero Card Kit - November 2021

  2. Dove Cardstock

  3. Copic Markers

  4. Gold Embossing Powder

  5. Precision Glue

  6. Sand Cardstock

  7. Clear Embossing and Watermark Ink

  8. Pitch Black Cardstock

  9. Raspberry Jam Ink

  10. Versamarker

  11. Foam Tape

  12. Magic Mat

  13. Tim Holtz Guillotine Trimmer

  14. MISTI Stamping Tool

  15. Gemini Junior ($139.99 at Scrapbook dot com)

  16. Heat Tool

  17. Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool

Steps for Creating this Card

  1. First, stamp the polka dot pattern on some Sand cardstock with Clear ink and melt some Gold embossing powder over it.

  2. Then, trim that down to just inside the edges of the design and pop it up on the front of an A2 sized Dove White card base with foam tape.

  3. Next, die cut lots of pieces with the dies from the kit and pull together the hat, holly, face and scarf for the snowman.

  4. After that, color in the snowman with Copic markers. I used YG99, YG97, YG95 for the hat, G28, YG07 and YG06 for the holly, R29, R27 and R24 for the scarf, C4, C2 and C0 for the face, W9 for the eyes and nose, and R83 for the cheeks.

  5. I wanted to tie in the gold dots with something on the snowman, so I added a buckle to his hat with a Versamarker and some Gold Embossing Powder.

  6. Then, assemble the snowman with Precision Glue.

  7. Next, pop up the snowman over the center of the card.

  8. To finish off the project, add a sentiment strip to the front with the Warm Wishes stamp, some Pitch Black cardstock, Clear ink and Gold Embossing Powder.
