Hero Arts October 2021 My Monthly Hero Countdown to Creativity

Hey there Artie! It’s Del! Today we’re joining Hero Arts’ Countdown to Creativity, showing off some peeks at the October 2021 My Monthly Hero Card Kit. It is time to get really serious about our Christmas cards for this year! This kit will help you get them all done!

I hope you have enjoyed the countdown so far and you are ready to shop when this kit and add-ons go live on Monday, October 4, at 1PM Eastern. If you love this kit, be sure to grab it quickly. If it sells out, it will be gone forever.

Throughout my post, I will use affiliate links in the photos and hyperlinks. These links let the websites know I sent you their way. For this referral, I receive a percentage of your total purchase price at no additional cost to you. I appreciate your support of my creative efforts.

Supplies:

  1. My Monthly Hero Card Kit - September 2021 (link takes you to the Hero website.)

  2. Hero Arts Turquoise Pigment Ink from the Patina Set (releasing Monday as an add-on)

  3. Karin Metallic Copper Decobrush Pen

  4. PS775 Acetate - this one is heat resistant

  5. White Puff Embossing Powder

  6. Versamark Pen

  7. Butter Bar Ink

  8. Embossing & Watermark Clear Ink

  9. Copic Markers

  10. Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool

  11. Hero Arts Blending Brushes

  12. Dove White Side Folded Card

  13. MISTI Stamping Tool

  14. Gemini Junior

  15. Precision Glue

  16. Foam Tape

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. First, I die cut the coverplate die from the kit out of Dove White Cardstock.

  2. Then, I added the Turquoise Pigment Ink directly to the paper and covered the entire panel.

  3. Next, I added some accents to the trim using a Karin Decobrush Metallic Copper Pen.

  4. After that, I stamped the tree and rocking horse images with Intens-ified Black Ink and colored them in with Copic Markers.

  5. Then, I added some Butter Bar ink to the front of a Top-folding Dove White Card with a Blending Brush.

  6. Next, I added some snow to an acetate panel by drawing it in with a Versamarker and melting some White Puff Embossing Powder over it with my heat tool.

  7. After that, I adhered the acetate to the back of the coverplate panel.

  8. Then, I added a sentiment to the top of the panel with Gold Embossing Powder.

  9. To finish it all off, I layered everything with foam tape and popped up my coverplate panel over it all!

I hope you enjoyed this little peek at October’s My Monthly Hero Card Kit! There is so much more to see, so keep your eyes peeled for more this weekend. Below you will find a grid of supplies I used.
