Del & Artie Live Recap - Arties' Night

Hey there Artie!! For Saturday night’s Del & Artie Live you chose CCC’s latest Big & Bold flowering trees stamps to color in with Copic markers. What a great time we all had chatting and learning how to color in the Dogwood Thank You Stamp Set.

The Big & Bold Thank You Dogwood features beautiful flowering branches, and a mix of sans-serif and script fonts. It is available now at CCC.

COPIC MARKERS:

Copic markers set the standard for all alcohol-based artist markers. You will find great inventory and personalized customer service at Violeta-Ink. That’s where Del buys his Copic supplies.

If you missed the last Del & Artie Live, you need a doctor’s note. hehehe. Just kidding, but we did have a lot of fun, as always. You can watch the replay here!

A huge thank you to all who support this channel with your gifts/tips/donations. If you want to know how to donate to sponsor Del & Artie, you may click here!

Pink and Rusty Dogwood Card

You can watch the replay if you want detailed instructions on how I made this card, but I will give you the run down here!

  1. Stamp the sprig of dogwood onto some X-Press It Card with Gina K Amalgam Obsidian Ink. This ink is alcohol marker friendly. X-Press It Card is created specifically for coloring and blending Copic markers! You will not regret buying a small pack, except, you’ll then want a big pack.

  2. Next, pick a few colors you want to use for your palette. I went for browns, red violets, reds, greens and warm grays. For the inky background, I used Gina K Inks Blue Lagoon.

  3. Color in your image (see the video for tips).

  4. Stamp and fussy cut a mask for the image. Then, add some removable adhesive (I used E-Z Dots linked below) to the back of it.

  5. Next, cover the image completely with the mask and use a blender brush to add some Blue Lagoon Ink over it with a light hand.

  6. Stamp and die cut the Love sentiment from the Always & Forever Stamps and Coordinating Dies from CCC.

  7. Trim down your panel to 4 x 5.25” and pop it up on the front of an A2-sized card base with foam tape.

  8. To finish off the card, adhere the die cut sentiment to the front with Bearly Art Glue!

The Bearly Art Glue Bundle is back in stock at Catherine Pooler!! Woohooo!
