Hey there Artie! It’s Del! Today we’re joining Hero Arts’ Countdown to Creativity, showing off some peeks at the January 2020 My Monthly Hero Card Kit. You will “bee” amazed at the inspiration from this kit over the next few days. I can’t wait to see what all of you make with it. Who doesn’t love flowers and bees?

Release day will be Monday, January 4 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. In the meantime, we'll be right here, sharing heaps of inspiration before the launch.

We're also giving a kit away! Before we get to that, let's see what I made for you with the January kit.

This month’s main stamp set includes a gorgeous sprig of blossoms and bees. But it also includes a honeycomb window die!! Can you believe that??!! For my countdown post, I chose to create a multi-layer blossom card!

Supplies:

2. Dove Cardstock

3. Pitch Black Cardstock

4. Copic Markers

5. Bubble Gum Ink

6. Intense Black Ink

7. Blender Brush

8. Snow and Berry Sequin Mix

9. Embossing and Watermark Ink

10. White Embossing Powder

11. MISTI Stamping Tool

12. Gemini Junior

13. White Gel Pen

14. Heat Tool

15. Precision Glue

16. Foam Tape

Step-by-step Instructions

1. To begin, I stamped the main blossom image out a few times with black ink, then die cut one set and fussy cut parts of the other.

2. Next, I colored them in with red-violet and warm gray Copic markers.

3. Then, I added a gradient of Bubble Gum Ink to the front of a Dove White Note Card with a blending brush.

4. Next, I heat embossed the word sentiment onto some Pitch Black cardstock with white embossing powder and fussy cut it out.

5. Then, I popped up the die cut blossoms onto the front of the card, popped up the fussy cut blossoms over that and added the sentiment to the front.

6. To finish off the card, I added some sequins from the Snow and Berry Sequin Mix to the front with Precision Glue.
