Del & Artie Live Recap: Copic Airbrush Rainy Scene with CCC All Weather Friends by Anita Jeram

Hey there, Artie!! It’s Del! Today, I have a recap of last night’s epic fail (learning experience) and a great little success story!! We played with Colorado Craft Company + Anita Jeram’s All Weather Friends Stamp Set with the Copic Airbrush system!

This month’s collection of stamps from CCC has a bit of EVERYTHING —Savvy Sentiments, Big & Bold, Anita Jeram and the Winter Girl from Lovely Legs.

If you missed the live last night, you can watch the replay here!

Big Fail (Learning Experience)

I have to say, I had a lot of fun trying to figure out the best way to get down on paper what I had imagined. I think my ambition ended up much larger than my abilities. But a great learning resulted in my fail! I have a finished card that I absolutely love!

I decided to scale back my ambition a bit by simply coloring the project with natural gray markers and adding a pop of red — which happens to punch all my buttons!

Here’s my Finished Card Project:

List of Supplies for this Project:

  1. All Weather Friends Stamp Set

  2. Copic Natural Gray Markers from Violeta Ink

  3. X-Press Copic Blending Cardstock

  4. Intens-ified Black Ink or Gina K Amalgam Obisidian

  5. Clear Embossing Powder

  6. Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies.

  7. Bearly Art Glue

  8. Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink

  9. Neenah Solar White 110lb Cardstock

  10. Black Sparkle Embossing Powder

  11. WOW! Heat Tool

  12. MISTI Stamping Platform

  13. Paper Trimmer

  14. Bone Folder

  15. Scor-Pal

To create the card, I stamped and masked the bunny image out with Gina K Amalgam Ink (Obisidian). Next, I airbrushed some darker areas onto the panel with N10. Then, I die cut some circles out of scrap paper using the smallest three Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies. I placed them around the panel and airbrushed over them, leaving a circle that is lighter than its surroundings.

After airbrushing everything, I used a colorless Copic Blender to blend all of the panel. Next, I colored in the bunny and umbrella with Natural Gray and Red markers. I used cardstock with the circles die cut out of it to add some Unicorn Pigment Ink around the panel to brighten up some of the bokeh circles.

Card #2 - Airbrushed Overcast Sky

You all watched me create this one in the video, so I won’t go into detail here. If you want to watch the replay of just this card, go to minute 45:00 in the video!

X-Press It Copic Blending Cardstock

I just picked up this cardstock because of a Copic class I’m taking and I am wowed at the blending on this paper. You can pick it up at Amazon in a variety of pack sizes or a 10-pack at Simon Says Stamp!
