Hero Arts November 2020 My Monthly Hero Sneak Peek

Hey there Artie! It’s Del! Today we’re joining Hero Arts’ Countdown to Creativity, showing off some peeks at the November 2020 My Monthly Hero Card Kit. You will see a ton of Wintry images in the next few days. So. Much. Fun!!

Release day will be Monday, November 2 at 1pm Eastern/10 am Pacific. In the meantime, we'll be right here, sharing heaps of inspiration before the launch. Saturday at 12PM Eastern, I will be hosting a live show for this kit on the Hero Arts Facebook page, as well. So don’t miss it!

We're also giving a kit away! Before we get to that, let's see what our amazing Creative Team has been busy making with the November kit. We encourage you to visit each of their blogs (linked below), where they are sharing even more details.

This month’s main stamp set includes lots of woodcut woodland images with holiday and wintry greetings! For my countdown post, I chose to create a wreathed owl on Sand cardstock!

Supplies:

  1. My Monthly Hero Card Kit - November 2020 (actual kit link becomes live Monday, 1PM EDT)

  2. Sand Cardstock

  3. Pitch Black Cardstock

  4. Field Greens Ink

  5. Autumn Ombré Ink

  6. Unicorn White Pigment Ink

  7. Embossing and Watermark Ink

  8. Platinum Embossing Powder

  9. Copic Markers in Green, Brown, Yellow, and Warm Gray

  10. Hero Arts MISTI

  11. Gemini Junior

  12. Heat Tool

  13. Precision Glue

  14. Foam Tape

  15. Paper Trimmer

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. To begin, I stamped the large circular image in the main kit with Unicorn White Pigment ink on Sand Cardstock, and heat set it.

  2. Next, I stamped the owl image from the kit with Autumn Ombré Ink.

  3. Then, I stamped the branch image with Unicorn White Pigment Ink around the circle to create a wreath and I heat set the ink.

  4. Next, I stamped the branch image again over the white in Field Greens Ink and added the berries with the Autumn Ombré ink.

  5. Then, I added some Copic marker details to the berries and branches to add depth to stamping.

  6. Next, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the kit onto some Pitch Black cardstock with Platinum Embossing Powder, trimmed it out and popped it up on the front of the panel with foam tape.

  7. To finish it off, I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5.25” and backed it with fun foam onto the front of a pre-folded Sand Card.
